Event Spotlight

THE SAN FRANCISCO CENTER FOR PSYCHOANALYSIS PROUDLY PRESENTS:     

A Day with Claudio Eizirik, M.D.  
Saturday, November 16th, 9 AM to 3:30 PM 

Claudio Eizirik is a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Porto Alegre Psychoanalytical Society, Brazil. He embraces pluralism, diverse points of view and understanding differences between schools of thought. In his writing, he is influenced by the Barangers and makes use of the concepts of the bipersonal field and countertransference. He draws upon Joseph, Ferro and Faimberg, as well as poets and novelists to inform his work, and has an interest in the relationship of psychoanalysis and culture.

Dr. Eizirik will present a clinical paper: "The Analytic Field: Bastions, Surprise and Movement." Georgine Marrott, Ph.D. will discuss the paper. Jonathan Dunn, Ph.D. will present a clinical case to Dr. Eizirik.
