LACAN STUDY GROUP

We invite you to join our study group on Lacan, engaging with Lacan's consideration of issues that have direct relevance to our contemporary discussions: object relations, the mother, fetishism, identification, transitional objects.

In our second year, we are examining Lacan's concept of the object in its relation to transference and treatment. We will also look at how Lacan reads Freud and consider questions of how to read any text. No previous knowledge of Lacan is necessary.

We meet on the second Sunday of the month from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. We charge a $50 fee per meeting or $500 for the year (10 meetings) for time and preparation involved.

Meeting place: PINC building at 530 Bush Street, 7th Floor.

Please let us know if you wish to join us or if you have any questions about it!
