With a deep foundation in Freud, Laplanche, and Winnicott, Dominique Scarfone, MD, explores important analytic concepts: the origins of sexuality, the workings of memory, and the concept of time. He also engages with significant ideas such as the symbolization of the unrepresented and the analyst's role in evoking the transference and the unconscious.

Scarfone is a Training and Supervising Analyst at the Montreal Psychoanalytic Institute. An interview with Scarfone is available on the SFCP website at http://sf-cp.org/scarfone-interview.

Scarfone will present the clinical paper "Transference and the Reality of the Message." Steven Goldberg, MD, will discuss the paper. Diana Fuery, LCSW, PhD, will present an adult in psychoanalysis.
