PSYCHOANALYTIC CASE CONFERENCE: Although, as a group, we read both contemporary and classical papers, the group works mainly with case presentations. We focus on the fine art of listening to the unconscious as it cries, whispers and shouts its message to us awaiting our translation or "alpha work" (Bion) into conscious meaning useful for further psychological growth. Use of
countertransference, including the group's and the therapist's reverie, are clinical tools that are emphasized and honed. Weekly meetings, Wednesdays in Albany 10:30 AM - 12 PM, $50 per meeting. Contact: Maureen Franey, Ph.D., MFT 510-527-6141.
