In this seminar we will address the manifold meanings embedded in adolescents acting out behaviors. How is a parent to respond, and how is an adolescent to be approached when an act becomes the primary means of communication? We will address both the theoretical and clinical aspects of these familiar adolescent behaviors, with emphasis on how we might help the adolescent understand and think about their experience.
