Please join us as Michael Guy Thompson, Ph.D. speaks to psychology graduate students about training as an analyst, working in academia, and publishing journal articles, books, and book reviews with a psychoanalytic orientation. All Alliant students and members of NCSPP are invited to attend. Refreshments will be provided.

About Dr. Thompson
Michael Guy Thompson, Ph.D., is Personal and Supervising Analyst and Faculty member, Psychoanalytic Institute of Northern California; an Adjunct Faculty member of Alliant; and on the editorial boards of PSYCHOANALYTIC PSYCHOLOGY, the JOURNAL FOR PHENOMENOLOGICAL PSYCHOLOGY, and the JOURNAL OF EXISTENTIAL ANALYSIS. Dr. Thompson is the author of more than 100 books, journal articles, and book reviews on phenomenology, psychoanalysis, and schizophrenia, is a past President of the International Federation for Psychoanalytic Education (IFPE) as well as NCSPP, and has lectured extensively throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, Great Britain, Spain, and Australia over the past thirty years. He is a member of numerous psychoanalytic organizations throughout the world and practices psychoanalysis from an existential perspective in San Francisco.

About NCSPP's Prelicensed Clinicians Committee
NCSPP offers a number of programs and services created especially for prelicensed clinicians, designed by a committee of volunteers who are all working towards licensure themselves. We focus on supporting professional development, as well as fostering community-building and networking among our peers in training. Learn more.
