July 2018

Workshop
2:00 - 4:00 pm
St. John's Presbyterian Church, East Bay
In this introductory event to the year-long Intensive Study Groups in San Francisco and the East Bay, we will explore how to work with the negative in the therapeutic process. We will have an informal, dynamic conversation with Megan Rundel Ph.D. and Alexander Zinchenko Ph.D. from the East Bay, as well as Era Lowenstein Ph.D. and Diane Borden Ph.D. from San Francisco. If you are considering registering for the upcoming ISG in the Fall, this introductory conversation is an opportunity to bring your questions and comments to four of our instructors.

September 2018

Workshop
1:00 - 5:00 pm
San Francisco Center for Psychoanalysis (SFCP), San Francisco

In response to participants from “Locating Unrepresented Thought” in Spring 2017, we’re elaborating on the interrelationship between intersubjectivity, unrepresented states, and unsymbolized thought and offering more clinical examples of the extended use of the analyst’s mind. We will talk about a relational, intersubjective view whereby thoughts are made from the interactions between subjects.
