Join NCSPP for an intimate potluck gathering in a private home. Guests are asked to bring a dish that has personal significance to share with others, and reflect on the ways that food connects us to a sense of home and belonging. In light of the recent statement from the APA that condemned the separation of children from their parents at the U.S./Mexico border as inhumane and harmful, this event aims to bring attention to the psychological impact of immigration on children and families.
Kick back and relax with NCSPP. Join us for drinks and appetizers as you head into another academic/professional year! This is a great chance to mingle with colleagues who are in various stages of their careers and talk about classes, internships, professional life, or whatever else strikes your fancy.
Join the PLC and Dr. Milena Edwards for a screening and discussion of the Oscar-nominated film Phantom Thread, a period piece set in 1950s London that follows an artist’s complicated romantic and family relationships. Following the screening, Dr. Milena Edwards will discuss the film through a psychoanalytic lens. Popcorn will be served.
NCSPP’s Pre-licensed Clinicians Committee invites you to the 23rd in a series of conversations with senior clinicians in the field of depth psychology. Join your colleagues for a stimulating evening of food, wine, and conversation with Dr. Nicolle Zapien, who will discuss her research on infidelity, consent, desire, ethics and the role of technology in decision making, especially related to decisions around sex.
We’re inviting all NCSPP members to celebrate another year of provocative programs, classes, and events at our Annual Holiday Party. Mingle with new and old NCSPP friends and toast with us in style. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be served.
We send an especially warm welcome to our advanced-practice clinicians. As analytic therapists of all generations gather together for support, this event reminds us of our collective commitment to growth, vitality, and deep thought.
